Detoxifying

When we fast it allows for the liver and kidneys to detoxify completely and rid themselves of their toxins. It is really important to help support them, hydrating yourself properly. When you start to burn your own body fat you will also release the stored toxins.

As part of our normal metabolism our body will produce toxins that need to be eliminated.

Detoxification is a process or period of time in which the body will rid itself of toxic or unhealthy substances. Not only during our fast is our body cleaning itself of these toxins. It also has time to rebuild and repair.

A process called autophagy is switched on during our fast, this is the system by which our  body cleans out damaged cells and toxin and will help to regenerate newer, healthier cells.

Autophagy is like cleaning out the old brick work, that’s damp and decaying.

New cells should not be laid upon old cells, that’s when disease starts to appear. So fasting may in some ways reverse the aging process, by getting rid of old cellular junk and replacing it with new parts.

When you trigger autophagy, you naturally start to ’detox’.

Autophagy will slow the aging process and help to reduce inflammation. It will also help your body fight disease and promote longevity.

When you start to burn your own body fat you will also release the stored toxins.
